About me…

I am a native Kentuckian, born and raised in a little town more famous for it’s whiskey production than anything else.  I moved my family to Surprise, AZ in September of 2009 with the intention of starting a church plant.  Along the way I’ve managed to publish a book, Shouting at God.

I have a wife of 11 years and counting, Alissa – we have 2 great and beautiful daughters, Katie and Kenzie.  We love all things outdoors, and pretty much anything that involves cooking or having people over.

I have been in ministry full-time in one capacity or another since January of 2000.  Before then I held jobs in the garment industry (sales, field technical support, production planning) and before that…well, let’s just say I was trying to figure out what my life was supposed to look like.  I knew early on that I was supposed to be in ministry, but had so many reservations about church and what that meant that I ran from that calling.  I hit bottom, and the Lord graciously gave me a 2nd chance.  I love being a pastor, and I strive to keep my heart and mind focused on what really matters in the church world – God’s glory, and people.
